Pelican Beach is very close to the Marina, but on the arch side. It is quite the spot for snorkeling and scuba, as the water around the rocks drops off to better than 35 feet. Sometimes, there is a current, but most of the time, it is the beach to frequent, because of the underwater sea life, and the close proximity to Downtown. You have to take a water taxi to get there, but for a matter of a few dollars, you will not only get to the beach, but if you are nice to the captain, you will get a very enjoyable trip out to where you will see the arch up close and personal. A must, if you haven’t done this before.
