Today, Not just Another Day in Cabo…

Today is Wednesday, May 16, just another sunny day in Cabo San Lucas. You should know that everybody here is getting excited and prepared for the upcoming big event, the G20.  It is only a few days away and the Mexican Government has invested millions in infrastructure, and you can actually see this when driving the “Corridor” between San Jose and San Lucas. The pavement, green areas, painting, and everything in between is being renewed.  Also, hotels are getting ready for such a great event by improving their suites and services.  Even those people in charge of their wine supply are ordering better quality bottles so they have enough of everything!
Of course, “Real Estate” is getting ready for a large amount of tourists that might be interested in investing in a place that is so much considered a “Paradise”.  We call Cabo a Paradise because of many reasons, starting with the magnificent Pacific Ocean and the fact that this is the place where the Mar de Cortés and Pacific Ocean find each other and embrace the rocks, the last tip of land, the Cape… El Cabo.
Some others think this is paradise because of the weather.  If you live in North America, where most of the year the temperature will not get much higher than 75ish F, you will sure enjoy Cabo where the thermometer is always around 85°F.  Even for Mexicans, we feel this is a privileged area, because any other beach in Mexico will be around the 85° or more, but with much higher humidity than here, making you feel like you are about to melt, if you don’t keep drinking margaritas constantly.
Also, we should consider the location, and how easy it is to get a direct flight to Cabo from almost every big city in U.S. or Canada.  Another favorable factor, for both North Americans as well as Mexicans, is that they want to be close to their families or businesses and being able to take a 2 or 3 hours flight back home makes them feel secure, and readily available.
This is the story of why an estimated 40,000 US and Canadian citizens live in Cabo. They were once just tourists but became part of the Locals community.  All of them are now part of Cabo and that is why Cabo is all about a little bit of every single one of us, the fortunate residents of this “Paradise”.
Now talking about something more specific, such as Ventanas Residences, this is the development where I have been working for the last 3+ years.  40% of our residents are Mexicans, 30% US, and 30% are Canadian.  100% of them are people that wanted to live in Cabo, and fell in love with Ventanas, a vibrant community that offers a special space for every single member of the family. The Club House is considered one of the biggest and best in Cabo.
Condos, which are also available, are the favorite amongst retired couples or single people, where houses are usually the choice of  families with kids or just couples that wish to have more privacy and access to a big pool whether it be in their own back yard or otherwise.  We have many options to choose from.
We are selling properties and have been since 2006, but our best years have been 2010 and 2011.  I am betting 2012 will be good as well. With the economic situation at hand, many have been impressed with our selling numbers, but there is no secret, we have been the Company keeping control of our pricing but still not dropping our quality of workmanship.  We are also delivering, new properties as we have promised, in a timely fashion and our clients have trusted us making them “Happy Customers”. You can visit some of these Happy Customers at my website: http://www.caboforlife.com/Happy_Customers/page_2463057.html
Come and visit us here in Paradise, to enjoy the view, and feel the true experience of living in Cabo, you will not regret it!
